Blue Dragon Festival is on the second day of the second month in lunar calendar, in some regions it is also known as Longtaitou Festival (means the Dragon raises its head.). It is believed that on that day, the Dragon come to bring rains. Blue Dragon Festival sometime gets mistaken as Jingzhe, one of the twenty-four solar terms in lunar calendar, as Jingzhe is also associated with first rains of the year.

Blue Dragon Festival is not celebrated as much as other festivals in China, nevertherless, in some regions people make and eat Chinese pancakes and noodles on this day.
